This nationally recognised course equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to recognise, respond to, and manage anaphylaxis — a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction. You'll learn to identify triggers, signs, and symptoms, and correctly administer adrenaline device (such as an EpiPen) while waiting for medical assistance.

Educators, childcare workers, sports coaches, first aid officers, and anyone with a duty of care for others — particularly relevant for education and childcare settings, where annual refreshers are often required.

Identify the triggers, signs, and symptoms of mild-to-moderate allergic reactions and anaphylaxis

Correctly administer adrenaline via an autoinjector device

Develop and apply anaphylaxis risk management and risk minimisation strategies

Communicate details to emergency services and complete incident reporting
Face-to-Face
A fully hands-on 4-hour session with no pre-learning required. Delivered in small groups with direct trainer guidance.
Blended (Online + Practical)
Complete 3 hours of self-paced online learning, then attend a 1-hour practical session to demonstrate your skills. Ideal for those who want to minimise time away from work or home.

Practical: Demonstrate correct recognition of an anaphylaxis reaction and administration of an adrenaline training device, following the ASCIA Action Plan

Your certification
On successful completion, you'll receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for 22578VIC, valid for 3 Years.
